A ceramic locks in whatever is under it — including swirls and water spots. We always pair a coating with at least decontamination and a one-stage polish so the finish you bond to is clean and corrected.
Coatings need a controlled cure. We use coatings that work in driveway conditions, but plan the wash schedule around 7 days of light use so the bond fully sets before the first wash.
Coating warranties depend on a maintenance wash schedule. We will set you up with the wash routine and refresher products that keep the coating performing for the full warranty period.
We fit coatings rated for 12 months, 5 years and 9 years. With our recommended maintenance wash they keep paint hydrophobic and UV-protected for the full warranty period.
For anything beyond a 12-month coating, yes — a longer ceramic locks in whatever is on the paint when it cures, including swirl marks. We always include at least a one-stage correction on multi-year coating jobs.
Off-the-shelf sprays are sealants that last weeks, not coatings that last years. They sit on top of the wax layer and wash off with the next decontamination. Useful as a top-up between professional services, not a replacement.
Yes — window coating (£50) and wheel/calliper coating are sold standalone. Most customers add them to a paint correction or full valet job to save mobilising twice.
